About me
Val Z. Schull (elle | they/them) is the Water Equity and Ocean Program Director at GreenLatinos. In this role, they advocate for policies that champion equitable access and conservation of both fresh- and salt-water systems. Val is a first generation Chicane raised in the Valle de San Joaquín of California. Their interest in water systems stemmed from growing up in a farmworker comunidad near the San Joaquín River. They hold a PhD and MS in agricultural engineering from Purdue University and a BS double majoring in Biological Engineering and Natural Resources from Cornell University. They enjoy gardening, powerlifting, and listening to podcasts and audiobooks.
