About me
Sabrina is a Coahuiltecan and Mexica, born and raised in South Texas, on traditional Karankawa and Coahuiltecan lands, and from the Gulf Coastal hometown of Corpus Christi. She is executive director of Ties To La Tierra, an ecological stewardship organization that focuses on land and water stewardship, food systems, and workforce development. Ties To La Tierra’s mission is to bring transformative practices, participatory research, traditional ecological knowledge and community building to the traditional lands of Texas. Sabrina has a Masters of Science in Environmental Policy and Sustainability Management From the Milano School of Public Engagement and a Bachelors of Science in Geography and Environmental Resources from Texas State University, is a certified fishing instructor in the state of Texas, and has a certificate in Indigenous Collaborations from Arizona State University. She is an avid fisher, hunter, farmer, forager and steward.
