About me
Jacqueline (Jackie) Baham, a Native New Orleanian, dedicates her work to her community in New Orleans East. She leads NOEGIC and is part of the Water Wise Gulf South Collective, focusing on community engagement, education about nature-based solutions, and Green Infrastructure projects. She is also the youth coordinator for the Water Wise Gulf South Youth Program, educating young people (ages 5-19) about careers in green infrastructure, native plants, rain gardens, and maintenance. With nearly 20 years as a Mental Health Specialist, Jackie supports youth and advocates for social issues like feeding the unhoused and collecting hygiene items. She is passionate about local food growth to improve access and is committed to youth development and tackling environmental, social, and climate challenges in New Orleans and beyond.
