Gary Perez was Born at Ft Sam Houston and placed under adoption in the care of the Congregation of Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word at St. Peter Saint Joseph’s Orphanage in San Antonio. Adopted by His Parents Reymundo and Frances Perez of Pearsall. In his twenties, Gary created his ropes course “Rappelling Arial Program” and taught it to the youth of San Antonio concentrating on the Victoria Courts and The West side recruiting youth to train in the program For the next ten years Gary trained SWAT teams and Fire fighters on his techniques to improve safety and tactical skills. In the early 90s Gary joined Commercial Dive Contractor to work on oil exploration for Western Geophysical out of Colorado. He went on to SeaWorld to start up their Dive program for working on all underwater life support systems for animal life and care.
In 1998 Us Fish and Wildlife and the City of Austin approached Gary about applying the mobile systems used at SeaWorld to mitigate the incidental take of The endangered Barton Springs Salamander at Barton Springs pool. his efforts were noted at the Beverley Sheffield Center as one of the 50 most influential persons in the last 50 years at Barton Springs Gary is The former Caretaker of the Peyote Gardens in Mirando City Texas where he facilitated ceremonies for pilgrims from as far away as Canada and Mexico. Gary was Introduced to The White Shaman Mural in 2008 and in 2011 broke the geographical code in the rock art of the mural His research was published in The Bulletin for The Texas Archeological Society in 2023 He is a member of the Pakahua peoples of Coahuila Y Mexico and holds the title of Cultural Preservation Officer for the Office of Governor of the Indigenous Peoples of the State of Coahuila Mexico. Gary is the Proud Father of Three Camaran, Autumn Stephani and their Spouses. Gary has three Grandchildren Camden, Christopher and Anua.
