This hands-on learning lab will tackle thorny issues surrounding the data center boom. Come prepared to map out the players - from land speculators to big tech companies, local planners to state regulators, water utilities to the courts - and then start your roadmap to action. This session will build off of the first session on data centers, Data Center Deluge: What You Actually Need to Know, but will also open with a brief overview of the intersection of water use, AI, and data centers, with tangible examples of how groups have been navigating data center proposals and buildouts across the South.
